PLAYERS OF NOWADAYS DON’T LEARN: I USE TO EMULATE STEPHEN ODURO IN MY PLAYING DAYS – CHARLES TAYLOR
Former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak forward, Charles Barnieh Asampong Taylor has disclosed how he used to learn from playmaker, Stephen Oduro during his days with the Phobians.
Speaking on Wontumi TV/Radio’s Nationwide Sports, Taylor said, “It is very sad players of these days do not learn much. I must confess today that during my playing days with Accra Hearts Of Oak, I emulated Stephen Oduro even though he was a direct rival.
I remember I used to reach him via phone call for him to teach me how he was able to twist and turn his opponents anyhow. I never wanted to skip a Kotoko match when I was free because of Stephen Oduro.”
He added that players of today must do same if they really want to get to the top.
Charles Taylor is regarded as the best player ever to play the Ghana Premier League and the worst nightmare every defender could face.
