Camp News Accra Hearts of oak to start camping at Akosombo

Information reaching has it that, as part of preparations towards the resumption of the Ghana Premier League, Accra Hearts of Oak have made a move to start with camping at Akosombo in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The report indicates that, camping is scheduled to commence on Sunday, March 28, 2021 with the Phobians having lots of hopes as to build a formidable team to enable them end their trophyless run which has been a major headache for the Accra giants. Headcoach, Samuel Boadu is optimistic to keep his players in good shape for for the rest of the 2020/2021 league season.

Samuel Boadu and his ‘boys’ would spend a week at the location from where they would face off against Aduana Stars, a top performer in the league over the past decade. The Phobians lost to Aduana Stars in the first leg at Dormaa by 2 goals and would seek to pay back in the second leg.

On the league table, the Accra giants are 3rd with 4 points separating them from league leaders, Karela United who have 31 points to their credit.

Considering the point gap between the Phobians and the league leaders, the new technical head and his ‘boys’ would love to do whatever they could to surpass any opponent in order to get the trophy at the end of the season for the first time after over a decade of no league trophy.

After the match between Accra Hearts of oak and Kwaebibirem United on sunday, Hearts of Oak will travel to camp at Akosombo for a week as they continue to prepare ahead of their crucial encounter against Aduana Stars.
